To apply for these scholarships, the student must complete an application form, provide transcripts, submit English language proficiency test scores, a letter of recommendation, and a personal statement.

All students who are admitted to Rice University are automatically considered for merit-based scholarships, such as the President’s Scholarship, Trustee Scholarship, and National Merit Scholarship Corporation Scholarship. No additional application is required for this scholarship.

At least 115 on the Duolingo test of English proficiency.

Proof of completion (or expected completion) of a post-secondary degree from an institution where the official language of instruction is in English*.
